Variable Speed
The variable speed fluid coupling machine offers a unique approach to speed control by adjusting the amount of oil in the working circuit – you can achieve a smooth and continuous variation in output speed. The fluid coupling can also act as a clutch, allowing for smooth starts and stops without jerking your machinery.
Application-based Fluid Coupling Gearboxes
PST is an adjustable speed fluid coupling designed for mounting between an electric motor and a driven machine (such as a pump or a fan), to enable the speed of the driven machine to be varied over a wide and stepless range while the motor runs at constant speed. The power of the motor is transmitted smoothly and without shock by the kinetic energy in the oil flowing between the input and output elements of the coupling.
The fluid coupling type PSV is electrically solenoid valve operated drain type coupling. These couplings are suitable for flange mounting on internal combustion engines which have inbuilt SAE housing & flywheel. Engine power is transmitted smoothly & without shock by the kinetic energy through the oil flowing between the input & output elements of the coupling. PSV coupling acts as a soft starter when oil is progressively filled into the working circuit putting the system in a “drive engage” condition for power transmission. When oil is drained out through peripheral fitted controlled nozzles and oil flow is diverted to the sump, the system acts as a “drive disk engage” condition, and no power transmission takes place, thereby making fluid coupling act as a non-wearing-type hydraulic clutch.
The PSVS type fluid coupling provides the ability to control the quantity of oil circulating between the input-output elements continuously while the set is running, thus enabling torque transmitted and/or the output speed to be controlled. With a constant-speed electric motor, the speed of the driven machine can be controlled by activating the solenoid valves for the filling and draining operations. Automatic control can easily be arranged to enable the correct output of the driven machine to be maintained at all times according to the system’s demands.
Features:
The PTXL fill-type fluid coupling is controlled using a bi-directional gear pump, which changes the direction of oil flow. The coupling is equipped with a motor that can change its direction of rotation and speed, which is initiated by a variable frequency converter. Because of its bi-directional rotation, the coupling allows for filling and draining operations. Additionally, by adjusting the speed of the pump, reduced oil flow is possible for partial fill operations.
Features:
The Fluid Coupling Type SCR is an adjustable speed fluid coupling designed to be installed between an electric motor and a driven machine. This allows the speed of the driven machine to be smoothly and continuously adjusted over a wide range while ensuring that the motor’s power is transmitted without shocks. The coupling operates by using the kinetic energy of the fluid flowing between its input and output elements. This type of fluid coupling offers the ability to control the amount of oil circulating between the input and output elements while the system is in operation. This control enables the adjustment of the transmitted torque and/or the output speed as needed.
