Overview

To keep our products upgraded with new technologies in the market, we have dedicated in-house Research & Development Centres (R&D). These centres are also recognised by the Ministry of Science & Technology (Department of Science and Industrial Research). At our R&D centres, we strive for continuous research and implementation of the latest technologies.

To support the implementation of innovations, we are having state-of-the-art testing facility up to 500 KW. The test lab is equipped with high-end measuring types of equipment like VIB scanner, Spectrometer, Gear Tester and many more.

In addition, we also have an extensive in-house engineering facility. Our engineering set-up has high-end workstations with industrial leading CAD/CAE packages, including CREO, Autodesk Inventor, Kiss-soft, MSC Nastran, Pro-Mechanica etc. We are one of the largest users of the Kiss-soft software in India. We also have a full-fledged engineering database management software “Windchill” to manage the huge database of 3D models, 2D drawings, standard part libraries, design standards and much more.

Premium is focused towards building quality products through its robust processes and system in all plants.

The company has various testing equipments like Gear Testers and CMM to confirm the product Quality at various stages of manufacturing and a well-equipped lab with Spectrometer and Image Analyzer to confirm the metallurgy of the products and materials.

The company is continuously working towards building quality culture in the organization.

Quality Control

At Premium, the product quality has been ensured at each stage of the manufacturing process to meet the best standards.

We have receipt inspection to control the supplier's receipt products.
We have set up first piece inspection and approval process during manufacturing.
We have 100% inspection of all the parts at the time of final inspection.
The final product quality has been ensured through 100% verification of assembly parameters, no load testing and PDI of the product.

We have adequate measuring equipments and resources to verify and meet the desired quality of the products.

Gear Quality is measured using Wenzel, TTi & Klingenberg tester at various manufacturing locations.
CMM is used to measure casings and intricate measurements on assemblies at various manufacturing stages.
Ultrasonic testing, dye-penetrant testing and magnetic particle testing is used on various components at receiving & final inspection for crack detection.
Heat treated components are inspected for case depth, case and core microstructure and hardness with change in temperature.
The chemical composition of the raw material is verified by the Spectrometer with change in temperature.
Physical testing of raw material is verified and approved periodically by an external agency.

Quality Assurance

All Premium products are certified for CE under machinery directive for their safe working and Atex under EU directive for their compliance to explosive conditions. Premium Quality Management System is under upgradation with reference to new standards of ISO 9001:2015
